THE ROLE

A 10-D Information Security Engineer uses a variety of tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities in client networks, applications, and systems, then exploit these vulnerabilities to demonstrate the impact and risk of each issue found. Additionally, Security Engineers provide guidance to clients on remediation and overall systems security. Security Engineers may work independently or as part of an engagement team to provide relevant and accurate reports and recommendations to clients

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct Penetration Testing engagements against a variety of environments and applications
  • Travel as needed to client sites for onsite testing. This is generally 5-15% depending on engagement requirements
  • Perform reconnaissance and OSINT gathering
  • Write accurate and professional reports
  • Perform other security assessments as needed, such as vulnerability scans, social engineering, and other security reviews
  • Assist with internal IT projects and tasks as needed

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  •  1+ years relevant Information Security experience, or demonstrated skills and abilities
  • Knowledge of penetration testing and other security related tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of Information Security concepts and terminology
  • Ability to operate at a Linux command line
  • Knowledge and experience with a broad range of information technology including, but not limited to:
    • Various Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc.)
    • Scripting and programming languages (Python, Javascript, HTML, etc.)
    • Networking protocols and services
    • Active Directory o Firewall, WAF, IDS, IPS
    • Antimalware and Antispam filtering and evasion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to relay complex concepts to both technical and non-technical clients
  • Professional demeaner and mindset
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Relevant Information Security certifications, such as CEH
